Hire Dates: March 3-31, 2025, unless otherwise specified
Work Hour During Outage: Generally, six 12-hour shifts per week (straight nights or straight days)
Overtime: Significant overtime pay, often with 20+ hours per week paid at double (2x) the hourly rate of pay
Income Taxes: Washington does not have state income taxes
Unemployment: Washington unemployment benefits are generally available following the end of assignment
This is a temporary position supporting the plant's biennial refueling outage.
Regularly and customarily performs the duties at the nuclear station for maintenance of roads and grounds, performs nuclear housekeeping and janitorial services including packaging of radioactive waste, and decontamination of equipment and buildings.
General janitorial and in plant maintenance. Deconning (equipment and plant). Delivery of equipment and materials.
High school diploma or GED. Requires a reading and oral communication level equivalent to a high school education, which allows for proper selection of janitorial supplies, such as chemicals, wax solvents, etc. Ability to read danger or warning signs. Requires a valid US State issued driver's license and ability to operate vehicles with either manual or automatic transmission. Normal assignment requires the ability to respirator and heat stress qualified.
