. We’re searching for a sharp, hands-on Laboratory Supervisor ready to take charge of day-to-day operations in our high-performance lab in
Reading, PA,with primary responsibility for overseeing, coaching, and supporting the 2nd shift laboratory team to ensure smooth, efficient performance. In this impact-driven role, you’ll own the flow of work in your section, drive quality and accuracy, and elevate technician performance through coaching and leadership. - Set individual and team goals aligned with company objectives, monitor progress, and deliver constructive feedback through regular check-ins and evaluations;
- Ensure all activities and data comply with SOPs, accreditation requirements, and regulatory standards;
- Identify and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness;
- Collaborate with leadership, SMEs, and project managers on routine and non-routine testing initiatives;
- Coach, mentor, and train staff to support professional growth and strengthen team capabilities;
- Oversee compliance with QC procedures and address operational or technical issues as they arise;
- Promote a strong safety culture by modeling safe practices and enforcing organizational safety standards;
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
What Makes You a Great Fit- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of (2) years of supervisory experience in a laboratory or technical environment;
- Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate teams to achieve goals and performance metrics;
- Experience improving processes across a team or department;
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills with ability to manage concurrent projects;
- Ability to interpret and execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities;
- Commitment to safety practices and quality standards;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LIMS, and/or other laboratory software systems.

- Ability to work second shift hours with a regular schedule of Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m EST;
- Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position;
- Ability to work outside of scheduled hours, including occasional weekends or holiday rotation, may be required to meet client and/or workload needs;
- Minimal travel is required for this role.

Salary Description
$65K-$78K annually
