We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Kitchen Manager for our RoadDog location in Dayton, OH. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong kitchen and management experience who is passionate about operational excellence and team development. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations at the assigned RoadDog store, ensuring food is prepared according to established standards and that all food safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed.
Essential Responsibilities
•Lead, train, and supervise all kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation, presentation, and cleanliness.
•Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained.
•Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the full menu and train staff accordingly on food preparation and presentation standards.
•Monitor kitchen equipment and promptly report malfunctions to the appropriate manager.
•Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas and equipment, adhering to a clean-as-you-go policy.
•Manage weekly food service ordering and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
•Conduct end-of-month inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting.
•Ensure all food products meet quality specifications, procedures, and hold times.
•Deliver excellent guest service by welcoming customers and preparing food orders with a positive attitude.
•Accurately operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handle transactions, and provide change.
•Ensure kitchen and cooler areas are well-stocked, clean, and organized.
Requirements:
•Medium to heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs frequently
•Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for up to 8 hours
•Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling (e.g., trash cans, mops, stock items)
•Occasional use of ladders or step stools to access high shelves
•Continuous handling of various food items and supplies
•Frequent use of hands for food prep and box handling
•Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members
Qualifications
•Minimum 2 years of management experience
•Minimum 3 years of food service experience, including customer service and food preparation
