Role and Responsibilities
Under direct supervision of the Director of Estimating and Chief Estimator. The Junior Estimator’s position Core duties may include but not limited to:
•Assist estimators in analyzing project plans and specifications to prepare cost estimates.
•Assist in developing detailed material take-offs, labor estimates, and subcontractor pricing.
•Research and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive and cost-effective bids.
•Assist in preparing and presenting estimates, bid proposals, and budgets for approval.
•Visit Job site’s and pre-construction meetings to obtain vital information for the bidding process, when required.
•Contact suppliers and contractors to obtain information needed for clarification.
•Learn to Data enter take offs into the Intellibid system to create a complete job for pricing.
•Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure accuracy in estimating
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or minimum of 1 year electrical estimating (or field) experience.
Preferred Skills
Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Organization, Excellent Communication Skills,
P.C. Proficient (MS Word, and Excel, Intellibid Bidding system, Adobe Acrobat). Eagerness to learn, grow, and pursue career development.
Work Environment
This job is mainly professional office atmosphere. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, computers, phones, photocopiers, filling cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; you must be able to sit for long periods of time using computers.
There is also filing required which will include bending and reaching as necessary.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
