Junior Electrical Designer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed electrical designs and schematics for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. This role requires proficiency in various design software and a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.

Responsibilities

- Develop and produce electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD and CADWorx.

- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.

- Create detailed drafting documents that accurately represent system designs and electrical wiring layouts.

- Utilize Bluebeam and NavisWorks for project coordination and collaboration with construction teams.

- Design systems involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to enhance automation processes.

- Conduct thorough reviews of designs to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with relevant codes.

- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports and specifications related to electrical systems.

- Participate in site visits as necessary to gather information and ensure design implementation aligns with project goals.

Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD

- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, system design, and electrical wiring practices.

- Experience with creating schematics for various electrical systems.

- Familiarity with construction processes and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to address design challenges effectively.
