Job Summary:
The Parts Clerk is responsible for ordering, receiving, organizing, and issuing parts and supplies for the maintenance and repair of the company’s fleet of trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
•Receive and inspect incoming parts and materials for accuracy and quality.
•Maintain an organized inventory of parts, supplies, and tools.
•Issue parts to mechanics and track usage through inventory management systems.
•Order parts from vendors and follow up on delivery schedules.
•Maintain records of purchases, invoices, and parts usage.
•Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits.
•Coordinate returns or warranty claims with suppliers.
•Assist with researching and sourcing parts as needed.
•Maintain cleanliness and safety in the parts room or warehouse.
•Support the maintenance team with administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•Previous experience in a parts department, preferably in the trucking or automotive industry.
•Familiarity with truck/trailer parts and terminology is an asset.
•Basic computer skills and experience with inventory software.
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
•Good communication and customer service skills.
