Jr. Elec Field Tech BW Tech Services

Overview

Jr. Electrical Field Techs at our Eastview Service Center will be responsible for a variety of work tasks including but not limited to: Programming and repairing controllers for vacuum recloser switches (VRS), Installation & repair of control circuits for automatic transfer switches (ATS), step voltage regulators, and pole mounted capacitors. Additionally, Field techs will conduct high potential testing of aerial lift devices and reinforced fiber glass plastic tools along with conducting infrared inspections of overheard power lines.Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities* Program and repair controllers for vacuum recloser switches (VRS).

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience* High School Diploma/GED and 2 years relevant technical experience or

Preferred Education/Experience* Associate's Degree In Electrical Technology or equivalent degree

Relevant Work Experience* Working knowledge of Basic AC and DC electrical power theory and circuit analysis, including 3 phase AC power systems. Required

Licenses and Certifications* Driver's License Required

Physical Demands* Ability to respond to system emergencies

Additional Physical Demands* Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
