Journeyperson Powerline Technician

We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of Journeyperson Powerline Technician. This position reports to the Operations Supervisor. The successful candidate will be required to perform weekly standby duty, emergency and planned overtime on a regular basis and, therefore, must reside within a 35 km radius of the Acton Office.

DUTIES:

The duties for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following:

· Construction, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the electrical distribution system, including overhead and underground of various voltages (up to and including 44kV);

· Perform live line work on overhead and underground electrical distribution lines of up to 44kV;

· Weekly standby duty; emergency and planned overtime;

· Manage ESA permits and necessary locate requirements;
