Journeyman Lineworker

Live and work in lakes country! Lake Region Electric Cooperative (LREC) is a member-owned electric utility serving more than 30,000 member-consumers in the counties of Otter Tail, Wilkin, Grant, Douglas, Clay and Becker (service territory). We have an opportunity for a full-time journeyman lineworker based out of our Pelican Rapids, MN location. Candidates must live within a 20min of the facility.

Responsible for the overall safety of self, colleagues, and the public, when executing timely action required for construction, operation, and maintenance of structures, lines and equipment of the electrical distribution facilities driven to support and provide customers with safe & reliable service.

Build overhead and underground electrical distribution systems within the appropriate specifications, guidelines and standards in support of reliable service to the customer.

Maintain the electrical distribution system to ensure its safety and reliability while minimizing any interruption of service.

Restore power in a safe and timely manner.

LREC offers a generous compensation package including fully paid single coverage health insurance, company 401k match and substantial paid time off. This position’s starting pay rate is $49.00 - $51.00 with the union rate for 2025 of $51.82 to be achieved upon completion of a training and onboarding period.
