KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Expert Installation & Technical Precision: Execute residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) installations, including inverter integration (Enphase, SolarEdge, Qcells), racking, conduit runs, wire pulling, main panel upgrades, meter relocations, and precise AC/DC connections.

Quality & Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical work strictly adheres to National Electrical Code (NEC), Connecticut state regulations, local building codes, and the specifications set by the Executive Leadership Team and Master Electrician (E-1).

Collaborative Troubleshooting: Work directly alongside the Master Electrician to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges on-site, ensuring installations achieve optimal performance.

Leadership On-Site: Provide guidance to apprentices, setting high standards for craftsmanship, safety, and efficiency during each installation project.

Safety Excellence: Champion SAVKAT’s OSHA-compliant safety practices, maintaining an organized and safe work environment at every project site.

Professional Communication: Represent SAVKAT professionally, maintaining clear and respectful communication with homeowners, inspectors, utilities, and internal teams.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing professional development, embracing SAVKAT’s culture of learning, problem-solving, and continuous process enhancement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Valid Connecticut E-2 Unlimited Electrical Journeyperson license (REQUIRED, in good standing).

- Proven experience in residential and/or commercial solar installations.

- Strong understanding of solar PV systems.

- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship.

- Ability to accurately read and interpret electrical plans, schematics, and technical specifications.

- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License and clean driving record.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification (highly valued).

- Previous experience guiding small installation teams.

- Familiarity with various solar equipment manufacturers and installation techniques.

- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
