Our services include a pump/well division, electrical division and an electric motor repair division allowing us to provide comprehensive services to our customers.. Alpha also maintains additional operations in El Paso, TX.

This position reports to the Electrical division.

This is a full-time position based in Albuquerque, NM and is not* a temporary contractor position.

Summary: This position requires an active Electrical Journeyman's license. The successful candidate will provide electrical and electronic support to the operations, assembly of new systems, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic equipment associated with Municipal and Industrial water systems. Previous electrical experience in an industrial setting is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment including but not limited to, PLC’s, VFD’s, process instrumentation, pumps, pneumatics, motor controls, PID controllers and power distribution

•

Participate in equipment installation and start-ups at sites and or/at customer locations

•

Provide customer technical support in person, over the phone, and on-site

•

Work closely with the engineering group to provide accurate and complete documentation

•

Design and produce electrical schematics and Bill of Materials

•

Correctly size and specify wire, conduit, switches, panels, fuses, circuit breakers, etc.

•

Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications and requirements

•

Must possess an active Electrical Journeyman license

•

Must have a Valid Driver's License and be able to pass an MVR check

•

Must be able to read and follow schematics, piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs) and electrical schematics

•

Possess working knowledge of typical instrumentation and be able to perform calibrations and configuration of such devices

•

Working knowledge of PLC programming

•

SCADA experience preferred

•

Wiring and conduit experience

•

Must be able to pass random drug screening in compliance with our company Drug-Free Workplace policy

•

May be required to pass a background check for compliance with government contracts

Physical Demands:

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, with frequent bending, stooping and standing, some overhead lifting, and repetitive use of hands and arms. Some walking required. This position frequently works in all seasons (heat and cold) of an outdoor setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
