Job Title: Journeyman Commercial Electrician

Location: Projects across Southern California (San Diego to Ventura County)

Compensation: $32–$45/hour based on experience

Employment Type: Full-time (No benefits currently; bonus and raise structure available)

About the Role:

King Stud Contracting is hiring a seasoned journeyman-level commercial electrician who can lead from the front, take initiative, and represent our company with pride and professionalism. We are not looking to train a beginner — we need a proven commercial electrician who’s ready to hit the ground running.

Required Qualifications:

●Minimum 5 years of commercial journeyman-level experience

●Full proficiency in reading and interpreting plans

●Ability to take a new set of plans to a jobsite and execute with minimal direction

●Must be able to lead and direct a small team, including helpers or less experienced

crew

●Must be able to:

○Estimate time and labor needs accurately

○Perform accurate material take-offs

○Act without wasting time or company resources

○Identify and solve problems on the fly without pausing for guidance

●Must have:

○A reliable vehicle

○All tools needed to complete a full commercial electrical tenant improvement project

●Willing to travel regularly throughout Southern California, and ideally open to

occasional out-of-state work

●Looking for a permanent, career-oriented position

Bonus Skills:

●Multi-trade knowledge (framing, drywall, finish carpentry, etc.)

●Experience using project management platforms (e.g., Procore)
