We are seeking a Job Coach to support our individuals with disabilities at their place of employment so that may be a positive contributor to the workforce, be successful and feel fulfilled in all areas of their jobs. The Job Coach plays an integral role in ensuring that our Individuals sustain competitive employment or self-employment which otherwise would not be possible.
- Apply employment adaptations where necessary
- Accurately document and submit the delivery of all services
- Transport the individual to and from their place of employment safely
- Participating in service planning team meetings when needed
- Orienting and training the individual in work-related tasks
- Train or consult with employers and coworkers to maximize natural supports
- Monitoring the individual’s job performance and assist when needed
- Communicate with managers and supervisors to gather input and plan training
- Train the individual in work-related tasks or behaviors to ensure job retention
- Be a positive role model for the individuals
- Effective communication skills (written and oral communication)
- Able to take and appropriately apply corrective feedback
- Able to work independently and organize work
- Ability to analyze and respond appropriately to various social cues
- Able to remain, alert and attentive during shifts
- Able to use adaptive equipment and supports of various types.
- Able to carry 15-35 lbs, hear (with aid), speak, walk, climb stairs, stand and grasp objects
- Apply crisis intervention techniques if needed
- May encounter occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials
- The changing needs of individuals served

- Set weekly schedule
- Tuesday & Wednesday - 7:30 am - 3:15 pm (Only during the school year. Summer's Off.)
- 2 year experience working with adults with IDD
- Prior experience working as a job coach preferred but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Driver’s License
- Vehicle insurance meeting state minimum requirements
- Working cell phone
- Trained in Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS)
- Other training deemed necessary for proper client care
