We are currently seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team in Kincardine. This role is key in providing technical support to our employees, ensuring systems run smoothly, and driving forward IT initiatives that help us stay ahead of the curve.
Key Responsibilities:
•Provide day-to-day technical support to staff
•Install and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems
•Perform system backups and data recovery operations
•Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues
•Configure and support local area networks and internet connections
•Monitor and optimize system performance
•Implement and maintain security procedures for data, software, and hardware
•Create technical documentation and user guides
•Assist in IT training and onboarding of new users
•Recommend system improvements to management
•Participate in on-call rotation and support varying shifts
•Collaborate across departments to resolve IT issues
What You Bring
•Experience working with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Office 365, and Azure
•Strong troubleshooting, time management, and prioritization skills
•Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Qualifications
•Minimum 1 year of experience in IT support or network administration
•Post-secondary education in IT or a related field
•Certifications in network administration or Windows environments are considered assets
•Experience with cloud services and infrastructure is a plus
