About the role:
the BCUC is looking to hire an IT Support Analyst to provide information technology support to our Staff and Commissioners. The successful candidate will join a small, dedicated team of technology enthusiasts supporting the BCUC’s continuing drive to modernize our IT systems and processes, stay secure, and provide value in our mission to meet the IT needs of the organization. Serving as the front-line of the IT support team, they will provide onsite support to BCUC staff and Commissioners, addressing issues arising from in-office and cloud systems, networking, printing, and audio-visual equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for many IT-related duties including hardware sourcing, configuration setup and tracking, problem-solving hardware and software issues, and helping the team manage technological change across the organization.
•hold an IT-related degree or certification (and/or bring 2+ years of relevant experience);
•have a genuine interest in technology with an eagerness for continuous development;
•be self-motivated and reliable with excellent customer service skills; and
•thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize a never-ending list of ever-shifting issues.
Previous experience with Microsoft Azure Hybrid Infrastructure, Microsoft Application Support, Adobe Acrobat and Creative Cloud is considered an asset.
Total compensation:
we offer a comprehensive compensation package including a defined benefit pension plan, medical and dental coverage, health spending account, wellness program, a starting vacation entitlement of approximately four weeks/year, etc.
Schedule:
full-time, permanent role with expected hours of 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. The nature of this role requires the incumbent to work in-person from the BCUC office.
Expected salary range:
$60,000 – 85,000 per annum. Exact offering will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s education and experience, and internal parity.
