IT Specialist

Discovery Natural Resources LLC is a domestic, onshore exploration and production company with over 1,000 wells in operation in Texas.

The IT Specialist provides end user help desk support, PC and network troubleshooting, and communications troubleshooting for the Company’s Denver office.

Primary Responsibilities

- Setup and deployment of new workstations and laptops

- First line of contact with end users for help desk support via phone, e-mail, and in person

- Provide troubleshooting and help to end users for:

- Microsoft Windows Desktops & Laptops

- Mobile Devices

- VoIP Phones

- Oil & Gas software applications

- Printers

- Wireless networks

- Travel to remote field offices periodically as needed

- Follow company IT procedures and security protocols

- Run security and analytical reports

Education and Experience

- AA/AS degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree is desirable

- Related work experience considered in lieu of education

Skills and Knowledge

- Ability to work with minimal supervision, analyze and solve problems

- Understanding of IT infrastructure, servers, networks

- Keen understanding of desktop configurations

- Knowledge of oil & gas business beneficial

- Available to work some evenings and weekends as needed

- Knowledgeable on the Microsoft technology stack

- Must be well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation and Benefits

- Estimated pay range: $70,000 – $85,000 (depending on experience of the successful candidate)
