Primary purpose:
The IT Project Manager III manages the design and delivery of highly complex application and IT infrastructure solutions often over $3M and spanning 24+ months. The Project Manager III leads all aspects of a technology project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
•Lead Complex Projects: Manage and deliver intricate application and IT infrastructure solutions, often exceeding $3M and spanning over 24 months.
•Strategic Planning: Develop project plans that align with business objectives.
•Advanced Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with large-scale projects.
•Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain clear communication with senior stakeholders about project goals and progress, including developing and leading communication strategies.
•Resource Optimization: Allocate resources efficiently across multiple projects.
•Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor junior project managers, promoting continuous improvement.
•Change Management: Lead initiatives for process and organizational changes.
•Performance Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive performance reports to executive management.
•Role Definition: Define and communicate roles and responsibilities for project team members, both functional and technical.
•Scope and Vendor Management: Manage project scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, external vendors, and contractual deliverables.
•Issue Resolution: Document and resolve issues, escalating to internal customers, suppliers, and IT management as necessary.
•Budget Management: Establish project budgets, track expenditures, and communicate current and projected burn rates.
•Project Planning: Collaborate with internal customers and technical resources to develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures and critical paths.
•Project Documentation: Work with internal customers and technical resources to create project briefs and scoping documents.
•Collaborate with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
•Communicate clearly and effectively, both in person and over the phone, demonstrating strong verbal skills and active listening.
•Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.
•Will work non-traditional hours as needed.
•Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
•Other daily, weekly, monthly or special project duties as identified and defined.
Minimum requirements:
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
•A minimum of seven (7) years project management experience, with five (5) years in a senior IT role
•Proven experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT infrastructure management
•Advanced proficiency providing IT support for applications, and network or server administration
•Advanced proficiency with software and security architectures
•Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing based on importance
•Experience in effectively communicating business and technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
•Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Project, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
•Project Management (PMP) certification required.

Working Conditions:
•Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
•The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
Supervisory Responsibility:
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position:
•Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field is preferred.
•Certifications like PgMP or Agile are a plus
Compensation:
•The annual salary range for this position will be $130,000 - $145,000/yr.
