The IT Business Analyst is responsible for expediting assigned projects by serving as a liaison between users, developers, and/or vendors. This position will set and communicate project goals and evaluate and refine results to meet user requirements.
- Partner with management and staff to conduct needs assessments, gather system requirements, and identify application solutions completeness
- Utilize a structured documentation approach and appropriate diagramming to research, analyze, and document business processes and systems
- Coordinate with business users to understand the needs to be supported by the information systems and technology to facilitate the implementation of new or improved business processes
- Leverage project management tools to document, track, and report on project progress and outcomes to facilitate overall planning
- Contribute to the overall strategic vision of the organization and integrate a broad range of ideas regarding system requirements
- Plan and lead meetings with project team members, business partners, and vendors
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred
- Some experience supporting business applications in an IT or operational role required
- Experience working closely on projects specific to the technology space preferred
- Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis and develop business cases
- Ability to establish clear and concise objectives, assign appropriate priorities, manage tasks and timelines, and facilitate communication
- Good attention to detail and works well under pressure
- Ability to track, manage, and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates time-management skills, organizational skills and prioritization of tasks
- Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders
- Working knowledge of supported business areas to help align Information Technology solutions with our business needs by identifying and addressing gaps
- Ability to be proactive and independent, and to be interdependent on the team
- Skilled in multitasking and providing quality support to the business community
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to travel to various field locations for work purposes
- Willingness to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed
- Lift, push, or pull objects of various dimensions up to 30 lbs. of weight occasionally
- Ability to perform 80% sedentary work and tolerate prolonged standing/sitting/walking
- Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Ability to verbally communicate, hear, and see
