FJ Investments, LLC, an investment subsidiary of FJ Management, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Investment Operations Analyst to join our team. Located in downtown Salt Lake City, we manage a diverse investment portfolio across public and private markets, including allocations to public equity, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, real assets, and fixed income.
As an Investment Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the operational and administrative functions of the firm’s investment portfolios. This position works closely with the Investment and Finance teams to ensure data integrity, efficient investment execution, and seamless reporting processes. You will also drive process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, implementing automation solutions, and enhancing operational workflows to optimize investment execution and reporting.
- Data Integrity & Reporting
- Oversee and maintain data accuracy in the firm’s portfolio reporting system
- Prepare and distribute periodic portfolio performance reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Investment Execution & Administration
- Assist in onboarding new accounts, custodians, and investment strategies
- Oversee the capital call and distribution process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Work with the legal department to review and execute investment-related documents, including subscription and redemption paperwork
- Operational Support & Process Improvement
- Generally support investment and finance department operations
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for investment strategies
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows across investment and finance departments
- Act as a project manager for ad hoc projects and key initiatives within the finance and investment departments
- Location: Must be willing to be based in Salt Lake City or the immediate surrounding area
- 2+ years of experience in investment operations or a related field within financial services - family office, wealth management, asset management, private equity or hedge funds- An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred
- Passion for financial markets and investing, with a strong understanding of investment structures and operational workflows
- Intellectual curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and a proactive self-starter
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Strong proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, pivot tables preferred); experience with portfolio management/reporting systems or data analytics tools is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
