Inventory & Supply Chain Co-Op/Intern
Inventory & Supply Chain Co-Op/Intern will support efforts to enhance the visibility of raw material inventory from mine loading to site stockpile and refine finished goods inventory reporting through automated daily reports. This internship provides hands-on experience in mining operations, logistics, and supply chain analytics, contributing to functional collaboration and efficiency across departments. Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week on site.

What will you do?
Day to day work assignments assigned by the supervisor and could include:
•Monitor raw material movement from mine loading to stockpile, ensuring accurate balance records.
•Assist in tracking finished goods inventory levels based on production inputs and outbound shipping data.
•Support daily automated inventory report generation to improve accuracy and efficiency.
•Compare production forecasts with actual data, identifying variances and recommending improvements.
•Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure inventory planning aligns with operational needs.
•Provide accurate inventory information to stakeholders, including operations, supply chain, and commercial teams.
•Help track and manage rail car and truck movements, ensuring timely shipments.
•Assist with data validation for supply chain optimization tools.
•Interact with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), and contractors.
•Attend department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
•Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies
What do you need for this role?
•Sophomore level or higher pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science or Computer engineering
•Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment
•1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is required
•Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred
•Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
•Basic computer skills are required
•Experience working in a team environment is a must
•Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
•Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
•Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
•Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete the following: Post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
