Works with Central Planners to maintain the settings in the inventory planning systems to ensure accurate inventory forecasts and planning. Coordinates with Central Planners and Buyers to provide accurate, timely, and efficient replenishment of planned inventory. Material Planner may also function in a Buyer/Expeditor role. Tracking inventory aging and looks to reduce working capital when materials are no longer needed. an adequate supply of product to meet customer service needs while minimizing working inventory investment. Maintains the settings in the inventory planning systems to ensure accurate inventory forecasts and planning. Coordinates with Buyers to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient replenishment of planned inventory. Material Planner may also function in the Buyer role.

Implements and maintains Min-Max Inventory Planning using inventory optimization tools and Oracle Inventory Management System. (~70%)
•Processes and performs monthly inventory planning for assigned business units
•Conducts supplier part supersessions to insure all “Use Up” material is consumed
•Maintains unit and preventive maintenance mapping to ensure usage information is correct
•Executes/maintains automated internal replenishment for assigned business units
•Conducts and actively review inventory analytics and reporting and takes necessary action to ensure material availability
•Expedites delivery issues by exception as necessary Coordinates inventory planning modifications related to organizational changes
•Coordinates inventory planning cross-functionally to support business objectives and metrics including part sales, customer service, inventory turns, cost savings, and inventory obsolescence
•Coordinates cross-functional activities to redistribute, return, or dispose of slow-moving or obsolete material
•Works with Corporate Supply Chain to implement sourcing and improvement initiatives related to inventory and GAINS (Inventory Optimization Tool) documentation
•Tracks and manages core return and credit process.
Meets and works with business units to maintain and improve planning parameters, service levels, and inventory planning. (~20%)
•Serves as point of contact for assigned business units for all inventory/planning and buying issue
•Identifies, negotiates, and resolves conflicts
•Coordinates cross-functional activities of rebuilt items to ensure proper inventory levels and develop plans to reduce financial risk.
•Participates in Business Unit Reviews.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Operations, Sales, Shop, OTC, Accounting.
•Ensure accurate mapping of units to material storage locations.
•Ensures any changed in unit install base is known in advance and accurately reflected in planning process
•Works with the business to establish BU discretionary and planning overrides
•Maintains business unit specific metrics and reviews them with leadership on a periodic basis
•Travels as needed to inventory locations for support and training related to inventory planning
Maintains an awareness of current company and market conditions in order to plan as necessary. Analyzes data and creates reports related to key planning and supply chain activities. (10%)

•Effective at utilizing Change Management principles.
Minimum Education and Certification:
•Bachelor's degree in Business/Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
•CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) certification through ISM (Institute for Supply Management) or APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) preferred.
Minimum Experience:
•Typically at least eight years of relevant experience in Supply Chain with a demonstrated pattern of increased responsibility.
•Minimum five years’ experience in an inventory planning role.
•Minimum five years’ experience with inventory optimization tool.
Leadership:
•Expected to serve as a resource to others for problem solving, knowledge transfer, and training.
•May occasionally lead a project / initiative / team.
