California Bioenergy LLC (CalBio) partners with local dairy farmers, state, and federal agencies, providing a sustainable energy source that benefits the dairy, the company, and actively reduces greenhouse gases emitted to the atmosphere. The company is undertaking the greenfield development, construction, ownership, and operation of a series of projects in the San Joaquin Valley that will capture biogas from dairy farm operations and upgrade it for use in the natural gas pipeline and as vehicle fuel. POSITION OVERVIEW
Reports to the Operations Supervisor. This position will support Operations and perform EHS duties as needed. Perform warehouse, parts management and organize documentation. Ship and receive all parts and media using a forklift. Coordinate with Supervisor all scheduled change-outs and load trucks with required media. Bill media and inventories to work orders. Coordinate purchasing requests with Purchasing Manager. Deliver parts when necessary to field operations. Provide site safety support for California Bioenergy operating locations within their areas of responsibly to prevent and mitigate employee injuries and illnesses. Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with CalBio, State, and Federal safety policies and regulations to ensure California Bioenergy remains in compliance with all governmental regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Identify new critical spare parts from Engineering bill of materials.
•Maintain documentation and digital files.
•Source and request RFQ for purchasing.
•Maintain warehouse such as loading and unloading parts, media, and housekeeping.
•Identify and complete warranty RMAs and shipping of parts.
•Produce inventory and usage reports.
•Conduct cycle counting of media and parts inventories.
•Assist Planner with kitting for scheduled PMs and emergency unplanned repairs.
•Prepare and ship returns.
•Ensure all parts are billed to work orders and correct entities.
•Implement hazard controls methods, procedures, and programs; and advise and train others.
•Measure the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
•Ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirement.
•Document and track results of safety programs.
•Assist the Director of EHS with incident investigations to identify root cause, determine corrective actions.
•Support the Operations team in the implementation of EHS corrective actions identified.
•Be an active member of CalBio’s Safety Committee.
•Conduct behavior-based safety observations and coach employees as required.
•Assist Director of EHS in monitoring of environmental permit requirements including requirements for California Water Board, San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, Environmental Protection Agency, Cal OSHA, and the various county CUPA agencies.
•Assist Operations team with removing hazardous waste from sites as needed.
•Train others on the use of online lockout/tagout and inspection system to ensure completeness and consistency.
•Use the E-Maintenance system, which is a cloud-based maintenance and asset management platform, to track and follow up with Operations teams when tasks are not completed on time.
•On an as needed basis, meet with lab testing company on location to assist.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT
•Performance is reviewed 90 days after the initial hire date, and then annually after that.
•Plant Operations will be measured against plant operating efficiency, uptime (reliability), and cost expectations. The successful operator will be measured against adherence to company policy and ability to drive sustained efficiency through personal effort, communication, teamwork, and ability to leverage external resources.
QUALIFICATIONS
•High School Diploma or GED required.
•Three (3) years of warehouse experience preferered.
•Ability to operate a forklift, read and comprehend instructions, and basic math skills are required.
•Computer knowledge with relational databases and CMMS programs (E-Maintenance) preferred. Operational experience may be supplemented with military experience or training in a related field.
•Working knowledge of supply chain, Inventory, procurement procedures and company policies.
•Knowledge of warehouse management, shipping, receiving and warranty claim processes.
•Purchasing and Planning experience desired.
•Safety Specialist background preferred. A relevant background in safety procedures/practices.
•Detail oriented and works accurately with data entry.
•Able to read, write and understand English is required.
•Fundamental proficiency in Windows-based applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) on a PC or tablet required.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle in California are required.
WORKING CONDITIONS* Work locations are industrial and agricultural, primarily indoors. When required, possible limited exposure to hazardous materials and/or toxic fumes will require the use of approved personal protective equipment. California Bioenergy will ensure all applicable work rules and safety requirements are closely adhered to.
