Inventory and Production Support Specialist
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and dependable team member to join our operations team as a Inventory and Production Support Specialist. This dual-function role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient production flow.
In this role, you will conduct routine physical inventory counts to verify alignment between system records and actual stock. You will also help keep production running efficiently by ensuring materials, tools, and supplies are always readily available at the workstations, reducing delays on the assembly line.
Job Responsibilities:•Cycle Counting & Inventory Accuracy
+ Conduct daily cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
+ Investigate issues such as overages, shortages, and misplaced stock.
+ Update inventory records in ERP or Warehouse Management System (WMS) systems.
+ Support inventory control and process improvement efforts.
+ Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all inventory items.
+ Collaborate with purchasing, quality, and warehouse teams to resolve inventory and supply issues.
+ Deliver materials, tools, and components to workstations as needed.
+ Monitor and replenish inventory levels based on minimum/maximum thresholds.
+ Remove excess, obsolete, or waste materials from the production floor.
+ Assist with line changeovers and help keep production areas organized.
+ Identify and report process bottlenecks or material flow issues.
+ Communicate effectively with team leads and departments to maintain smooth workflows.
•Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners).
•Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
•Maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork.
•Participate in Lean/5s or Kaizen initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
•1+ year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related field.
•Experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) preferred.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
•Basic math and computer skills.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
•Forklift certification a plus.
•Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
•Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with changing temperatures.
