Montana Tank Works is looking for someone who is motivated and organized to join our growing team! This is a position where this team member will run our inventory and material ordering. This position is an office position with some warehouse work organizing and maintaining inventory and building custom pallets. This position will build and manage inventory along with emailing and calling vendors to order material. Additional responsibilities include handling the shipping of our product and miscellaneous roles involving inventory management. This position will also be responsible for organizing the shop inventory and entering used product into the system on a per build basis.
Attention to detail: As an inventory specialist, you will be responsible for tracking and managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in records, and identifying any discrepancies. Having strong attention to detail is critical to performing these tasks accurately.
Analytical skills: You will need to analyze inventory data, including sales trends, inventory levels, and demand forecasts. Being able to make data-driven decisions is crucial for optimizing inventory levels and ensuring that the right products are in stock.
Organizational skills: As an inventory specialist, you will be responsible for organizing inventory in a way that is easy to track and manage. Strong organizational skills will help you keep track of inventory levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and ensure that products are stocked correctly.
Communication skills: You will be working with various teams, including purchasing, sales, and warehouse staff. Strong communication skills will help you collaborate effectively and keep everyone informed of any changes or updates to inventory levels.
Technical skills: You will be working with various inventory management systems, such as software. Having strong technical skills will enable you to use these tools effectively and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Problem-solving skills: Inventory management can present unexpected challenges, such as long delivery times, damaged products, or inaccurate records. Being able to identify the root cause of a problem and develop a solution quickly is essential for ensuring that inventory levels remain optimized.
