About the Role
The Inventory Accountant will play an important role in supporting the Baltimore plant with inventory management, inventory accuracy, and accounting and will report directly to the Plant Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating inventory counts at the plant, ensuring compliance in collaboration with plant controllers and operational teams. The expectation is to maintain an organized and accurate inventory system, with minimal adjustments, that supports seamless demand planning and production operations.
What You’ll Do
•+ Coordinate efforts with plant personnel to perform cycle counts, quarter-end counts, and year-end inventory, ensuring compliance with Group policies for inventory counts.
+ Record and follow up on any issues found during inventory counts, ensuring problems are addressed and resolved promptly.
+ Conduct root cause analysis on recurring and one-off inventory issues to implement appropriate solutions and improve processes.
+ Evaluate material master data to ensure compliance and consistency across all areas of the plant.
+ Collaborate with plant personnel to maintain an efficient and functional warehouse layout.
•+ Ensure all inventory adjustments are accurately recorded in the ERP system.
+ Support the Plant Controller in assessing slow-moving and off-spec materials for inventory provisions.
+ Assist the Plant Controller with preparing and posting accounting journal entries related to the Baltimore site.
•+ Identify and implement opportunities to enhance inventory controls onsite.
+ Collaborate with other departments, including Shipping and Receiving, to optimize material flows across the site and minimize inefficiencies.

•Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
•Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
•Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
•Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
