Quanta Utility Engineering Services (QUES) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Field Survey/Data Collection Engineering Intern for electric distribution line construction projects for the summer. QUES is a contractor for a local electric and gas utility in Montana.
This summer job will consist of nearly 100% of the time in the field collecting field survey data using a hand-held GPS survey device and photographs of existing distribution power lines. Depending on workload, the individual selected may also be assisting with engineering tasks and fire risk assessment. Ideally, we are looking for an engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical) student looking for summer work.
This job will require weekly travel between various project sites around Montana and include overnight stays in various Montana towns. A company vehicle will be provided, and meals, gas and hotel expenses will be paid. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
Employees will have flexibility to work four 10-hour days or five eight-hour days per work week.
