•Support the development of nuclear tooling and equipment used in high-radiation or confined environments
•Work with engineers to generate Design Requirements, Design Specifications, and As-Built documentation
•Ensure design outputs meet regulatory and code requirements (e.g., CSA N285, ASME Section III)
•Participate in design reviews, technical risk assessments, and constructability evaluations
•Liaise with fabrication vendors and site teams to support design implementation and field fit-ups
•Assist with Engineering Change documentation (ECs) and technical input into safety and licensing packages
Qualifications
•Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design
•Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience
•Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
•Strong understanding of mechanical tolerancing and fabrication drawing standards commonly used in utility and vendor documentation
•Strong attention to detail, drafting standards, and documentation practices
•Excellent communication and coordination skills
Preferred Assets
•Experience working on CANDU reactor systems or nuclear plant modifications
•Knowledge of CSA N-series standards and ASME Section III design principles
•Experience preparing Engineering Change (EC) documentation for Bruce Power or OPG
