Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls Technologist

We are currently seeking an

Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls Technologist

to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Create instrument data sheets and instrument indexes.

- Provide instrument sizing and installation requirements in collaboration with other disciplines (mechanical, process).

- Create material requisition packages.

- Review vendor packages and documentation.

- Develop and review P&IDs, process narratives, and shutdown keys.

- Participation in HAZOP as required.

- Make recommendations for the best and most economical instrument/control system based on the client's needs, specifications, and industry standards.

- Provide cost estimates for projects in conjunction with other disciplines.

- Participate in client meetings to assess project needs.

- Act as a point of contact for other disciplines with respect to anything instrumentation related.

Qualifications

- Instrumentation Technology diploma is required.

- 3+ years of relevant experience within an EPCM setting.

- Registration with ASET or APEGA is required.

- Experience using SmartPlant would be considered an asset.

- Personable and able to work with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.

- Ability to adjust to change and multitask in a fast-paced setting.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
