Reporting to the Senior Geologist and Exploration Manager, the Intermediate Geologist will contribute to and supervise drill programs across NexGen’s land claims with the objective of economic uranium discovery. The incumbent will participate and contribute as part of a multi-disciplinary team to plan and execute drill program(s) and other exploration endeavors across NexGen’s extensive land position with a strong focus on health, safety, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)•Engage in and supervise geological work including core logging, sample collection, and QA/QC to ensure exploration best practices.
•Engage with contractors to ensure best practices are implemented and health and safety programs are followed.
•Interpret and report geological data, develop geological models, and work with the Exploration Team to advance project understanding.
•Contribute to exploration program planning with emphasis on identification of opportunities and efficiencies towards exploration objectives.
•Coordinate detailed logistics of drill programs to ensure drill holes are prioritized to produce expected results and activities are managed in a cost-effective manner.
•Establish drill hole locations and effectively test targets as directed.
•Complete required weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
•Complete fieldwork to ensure drill programs are conducted to high standards with an emphasis on health and safety.

LOCATION
This position will be based in the Saskatoon office with a regular rotation to the Project site during drilling campaigns.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
•Bachelor’s degree in Geology is required.
•Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in mineral exploration.
•Strong understanding of geological software and databases (Leapfrog, ArcGIS, Geosoft, acQuire).
•Fluent computer skills and proficient in MS Office applications, (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in working with a broad range of people.
•Experience in working field rotations to support drill programs in remote locations.
•Proven commitment to workplace safety and demonstrated safety leadership.
•Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
