Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s KA facility is hiring an Instrumentation Tradesperson to join the team. This position reports to the Maintenance Foreman, in the Gas Services Business Unit (GBU), part of Pembina’s Operations Business Division. The Gas Services Business Unit provides gas gathering, compression, shallow cut processing and both sweet and sour deep cut processing services for its customers, primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts.
The KA Facility is a registered 1st Class Plant that accommodates various operational processes such as steam generation for utility and process purposes, separation of raw inlet gas, condensate stabilization, sour gas sweetening and regeneration, acid gas injection, glycol dehydration systems, de-ethanization, de-butanization, and recompression facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, and display a goal-oriented attitude with an eagerness to part of a strong maintenance team. KA is a unionized environment; and the shift schedule is a 40-hour work week, working either Tuesday to Friday or Monday through Thursday.
The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Fox Creek. Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Complete corrective and preventative maintenance on instrumentation equipment in accordance with Pembina’s preventable maintenance management program;
- Assist operations in plant optimization and troubleshooting;
- Provide technical support on new projects and management of change (MOC);
- Assist with installation, commissioning, start up, and maintenance of new equipment;
- Demonstrate learning agility by actively seeking feedback, adapting to new information quickly, and applying learnings to improve performance and deliver results in a dynamic environment; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
- Journeyperson Certification in Instrumentation is required;
- Experience with HONEYWELL DCS installations will be considered an asset;
- Relevant experience in sour gas processing facility maintenance will be considered an asset;
- Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and calibrate instrumentation equipment effectively;
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications;
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication;
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or processes and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Working knowledge and experience with SAP will be considered an asset;
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License; and
- Safety Courses: TDG, H2S Alive, First Aid would be an asset, but if incomplete, will be provided by the company to the successful candidate.
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
You will also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
