Provides support to our instrumentation team in designing, programming, and integrating instrumentation and electrical systems for skid-mounted gas processing plants. This internship provides hands-on experience in troubleshooting, reviewing specifications, and assisting with project execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (following are accountabilities included but not limited to):
- Performs basic calculations for valves and instrumentation under the supervision of a more senior engineer.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks for electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Receives direction from more experienced Specialists. Work is reviewed and learns from other team members. Work is reviewed prior to issue by experienced Specialist/supervisor.
- Conduct routine technical assignments under supervision.
- With guidance, learns to use checking procedures and checklists to ensure a quality design.
- Learn and apply company procedures, industry codes, and regulations.
- Performs tasks according to company procedures, industry codes and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business
- Has basic foundation of understanding and ability to use technical knowledge. Seeks to expand knowledge.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)

- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related technical field.
- Some familiarity with codes and standards to complete assignments.
- Between zero and two years of experience with of automation/instrumental/electrical experience.
- Regularly works in the Corporate Office in Whitehouse but will be required to visit fabrication and assembly shop, as well as client locations. At the shop and in the field, must be able to work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and other particles.
