Responsibilities
•Install, test, and calibrate valves, switches, and measurement devices in accordance with best practices.
•Inspect and repair equipment as needed to maintain top functionality and reliability.
•ICSV Testing and Leak Detection and Repair.
•Gain and apply knowledge of processes in oilfield facilities, including gas plants, oil batteries, and well sites.
•Operate a range of pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing instruments to monitor variables like pressure, flow, temperature, and composition.
•Test the accuracy of flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, and other monitoring equipment.
•Read and interpret P&IDs and Isometric drawings.
•Maintain a strong commitment to safety on all job sites.
•Journeyman Instrumentation Technicians are expected to guide and mentor apprentices.
Requirements
•Currently indentured into the instrumentation trade or Journeyman status (ticket required upon hire).
•Extensive experience in constructing, repairing, and modifying instrument tubing.
•Valid First Aid, H2S, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSTS, PST, and/or CSO certifications required.
•Demonstrated ability to work well in teams and lead others.
•Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is essential.
•Strong work ethic and reliability are critical.
•Canadian citizenship or permanent residency required.
•Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Work Conditions
•Full-time hours (40-50 hrs per week) with flexibility.
•Compensation depends on experience, starting at $40-$45 per hour. Opportunities to grow this.
•Willingness to travel to work sites as required.

Summary
As an Instrument Technician, you will be integral to maintaining and optimizing instrumentation systems within the oil and gas industry. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your core skills in mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and programmable logic controllers will ensure efficient operations. Your premium expertise in industrial maintenance and electrician experience will enhance system reliability. Additionally, relevant skills in AutoCAD and customer service will support project execution and client interactions.
