Job Title: Instrument Service Technician
Education Required: Diploma in Electronics/Mechanics or Industrial/Instrumentation Engineering, 4 years’ experience as a service technician.
Other Requirements:
•Experience required in maintenance and calibration of Balances
•Possess a certificate for Balances’ calibration
•Good working knowledge on ICP and AA spectrometers
•Good working knowledge on Electronics and Information Technologies (IT)
•Good working knowledge in Pneumatics and Electromechanics
•Understand and apply electronics theory and mechanics principles
•Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
•Demonstrate skills using measurement and conventional tools for installation and testing electrical, electronics and mechanics systems
•Demonstrate initiative, motivation, reliability and common sense
•Exhibit strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
•Ability to multitask and meet deadlines and targets
•Work independently with minimal supervision and working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
•Ability to communicate well with others
•Proficiency in Microsoft office
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required
•Compliance with company’s Health & Safety and professional conduct policies
•Ability to work extra hours if needed
•Ability to travel to other Actlabs locations if needed
Responsibilities: May include some or all of the following or any other assigned task directly or indirectly by the President;
•Maintain, repair, adjust, calibrate malfunctioning equipment, instruments and all accessories related with it
•Perform regular maintenance and keep all equipment in proper working order, clean and lubricate parts of equipment
•Install and repair electrical and electronic components of equipment, accessories, automated machinery, robots and programmable controllers
•Prepare written service reports
•Recommend appropriate corrective actions based on equipment evaluations
