About The Job

This position is responsible for developing competency-based training to employees in an engaging, efficient, and effective manner. Position will work closely with internal subject matter experts to develop detailed training materials and curriculum using an array of creative approaches that inspire learners and drive safety. This includes designing course components, flow, and assessments to support learning, as well as ongoing maintenance of the content.

What You'll Do

Create instructional materials (e-Learning, facilitator guides, job aids, videos, etc ) aligned to adult learning principles and operational impact.
Partner with project manager, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other key stakeholders to identify target audience training needs against required training timelines. Support successful achievement of project goals, tasks, and deliverables.
Manage assigned projects efficiently so that tasks are completed on time, problems are anticipated and resolved quickly, and team members are clear on project requirements and schedules.
Design courses utilizing Articulate 360 Platform (Storyline, Rise, etc.).
Design training programs mapped to a multi-level competency framework across technical and soft skills.
Research subject matter to better understand key concepts and importance.
Identify learning objectives for certain modules breaking down complex principles into easily digested step-by-step processes.
Develop interactive simulations and field-based learning tied to high-risk, high value tasks.
Develop eLearning course storyboards that include content, suggestions for graphics, suggestions for interactions or other adult learning engagement strategies and pre/post examinations as well as audio scripts to be used for voiceover narration, progress checks, and knowledge assessments.
Develop text and audio scripts to support training content.
Collaborate with team members to enhance design and ensure design standards are adhered to.
Participate in eLearning course reviews and pilot tests. Make modifications to course design/content based on internal and external feedback.
Create the voiceover using the approved script.
May upload, test, and maintain content to an LMS.
Other duties as assigned.

Education Skills You'll Need :

Bachelor's degree and 2 - 4 years of full-time verifiable work experience in instructional design, interactive technology, or technical support; OR Master’s degree with some experience in instructional design, interactive technology, or classroom teaching.


Experience

Previous experience in designing, developing, planning, implementing and assessing training for Operations and Technical Teams is preferred.

Ability to assess training effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders and leaders.
Demonstrates the ability to work in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment that requires complex, technical information and decision making.
