Job Description STAR PIPE PRODUCTS Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented OEM Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team. This position plays a critical role in supporting our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers by managing inbound sales inquiries, processing orders, preparing quotes, and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and critical thinking skills.
Essential Functions
- Customer Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned OEM customers, ensuring consistent communication and a high level of customer service.
- Quote Generation & Follow-Up: Prepare accurate quotes and proposals based on customer specifications and pricing guidelines. Proactively follow up to convert quotes into orders.
- Order Processing: Accurately enter customer purchase orders into the ERP system, verify lead times, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Product & Technical Support: Provide basic technical assistance, product recommendations, and specifications to help customers choose the right solutions.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints, delivery issues, or quality concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Market & Product Knowledge: Stay informed about product developments, pricing changes, and industry trends to support customer needs effectively.
- Handle inbound calls, emails, and online inquiries from OEM customers.
- Provide product information, pricing, availability, and technical support.
- Prepare and follow up on quotes, proposals, and order confirmations.
- Process purchase orders and coordinate order fulfillment through ERP/CRM systems.
- Maintain relationships with OEM clients and respond promptly to customer concerns or issues.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling complementary products or services.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction.
- Monitor order status and proactively communicate delays or changes to customers.
- Track and report on sales metrics, pipeline activity, and customer interactions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, market trends, and industry standards.
- Assist with account management and renewal activities, including pricing reviews and contract support.
- Support sales team with lead follow-up, customer data, and project coordination.
- Runs monthly project closure, and project status reports
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in B2B-related field
- Problem-solving skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
- Minimum 40 wpm typing skills
- Excellent customer service and people skills

- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
