Overview:
Miller Lumber Company is seeking Inside Sales Representatives to join our team! The Inside Sales Representative provides exceptional customer service and retail building material knowledge to our customers throughout Central Oregon.
JOB DUTIES
•Greet and assist with all retail and phone-in customer inquiries, quotes, and purchases
•Total operational use of software/hardware for the purpose of point of sale, order entry and maintenance, inventory control and the ability to learn and utilize updates and modifications to the system
•Working knowledge of store and company procedures relating to stock, sales, returns, delivery, invoicing, special orders, receiving, transfers that enable proper coordination of the store services to customer
•Maintain current knowledge of all product information, promotions, and market influences
•Adhere to all company procedures and practices, pricing, and loss prevention
•Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping
•Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock
•Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers
•Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE
•1-3 years industry related retail sales experience
•Lumber, hardware, and other building material knowledge strongly desired
•Proven computer knowledge and experience
REQUIREMENTS
•Excellent customer service skills; a team player able to work professionally and positively with coworkers and members of the public
•Strong interpersonal skills
•High School diploma or GED
•Strong organizational skills
•Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
