This is a full-time on-site role located in Addison, TX at Del Mar Scientific, Ltd. The Inside Sales and Operations Coordinator is a critical role that supports sales and ensures the efficient and accurate flow of operations from initial sale through to order fulfillment. This position serves as a primary contact for customers and vendors, managing the end-to-end process of sales order entry, purchasing, and work order creation.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, order status, and delivery timelines.
- Generate quotes and process sales orders accurately and efficiently, adhering to all company sales policies.
- Update and maintain customer records in Sage 100.
- Create and issue purchase orders to suppliers based on inventory needs and specific customer orders.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
- Expedite orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and products.
- Track and reconcile purchase orders against invoices and receiving documentation to resolve any discrepancies.
- Accurately enter work orders in Sage 100, ensuring all information is correct and complete.
- Coordinate with the warehouse, manufacturing, and shipping departments to schedule work and prioritize.
- Track the status of all open work orders and communicate updates to relevant internal teams and customers.
- Maintain meticulous and confidential records of all transactions.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in a customer service, sales support, or administrative role, with some background in order processing or purchasing.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with data entry and experience using business software like Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with customers and vendors.
