About This Job

This position is eligible for our Account Manager Commission Program, which includes a general range of salary and total compensation (salary + commission and accelerator) that varies based on assigned accounts and the total GP$ associated with those accounts.*

Base Salary Range: $37,500-$55,000* Base Commission: Earned monthly on paid gross profit dollars (GP$) above the threshold.* Accelerators: Earned quarterly based on meeting specific goals, with payouts on all paid GP$ above the threshold once goals are met.*

DSG is seeking an Electrical Inside Sales Account Manager in our Fargo, ND location. In this full time, hourly position, work is typically performed during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As an Inside Sales Account Manager, you will have account management responsibilities for assigned accounts, including the servicing of house accounts and ensuring effective retention and growth of designated customers. You will actively promote DSG products and services to both contractors and industrial accounts, negotiate contracts and bids, resolve customer objections and assure customer satisfaction to build and maintain strong business relationships.

A Typical Day in the Life of an Electrical Inside Sales Account Manager at DSG:

Serve as a primary facilitator for customer orders
Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries
Write (and occasionally assist to fill) orders accurately and in a timely manner
Generate customer quotations and follow up on quotes requested
Provide trouble-shooting and technical support
Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner
Restock the counter area according to product brand and location
Monitor product inventory and cull damaged product
Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area
Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable
Continue education on latest updates to products through manufacturer schools, trade shows, tech schools, vendor meetings, trainings, trade journals, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned

A Successful Electrical Inside Sales Account Manager Typically Has:

A high school diploma or equivalent.
Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school OR 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of electrical and low-voltage products.
Excellent relationship building skills.
Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email).
Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task.
A knack for active listening to determine customer needs and maintain strong relationships.
Superior problem solving, project management, and analytical skills.
A high proficiency with computers – experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred.
The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.
The physical ability to frequently lift & load items weighing up to 60lbs.
