Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Inside Account Manager (IAM) to join our sales team. This role is responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers, supporting field sales efforts, and ensuring and exceptional customer experience through proactive communication, quoting, and account support. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and excels at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for a territory or portfolio of assigned accounts
Serve as primary point of contact and support for outside account managers.
• Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, process orders, and resolve issues in a prompt and professional manner
• Coordinate internally with service, engineering, finance, and operations, to meet customer expectations a facilitate customer orders and needs.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, or additional service offerings
• Maintain accurate records of account activities
• Track and follow up on quotes, proposals, and service delivery
• Analyze customer usage and trends to proactively suggest value-added solutions
• Assist in onboarding new accounts and ensuring smooth handoff from outside sales
• Provide support for sales campaigns, product launches, and marketing initiatives
Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in sales support, inside sales, customer service, or account management (industrial, manufacturing, or B2B experience preferred)
• Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• High level of professionalism and customer-first mindset
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the cold storage / industrial refrigeration / construction / mechanical contracting industry
• Familiarity with quoting tools, ERP systems, or project tracking software
• Technical aptitude or willingness to learn basic industry terminology, equipment, and design.
