Injection Molding Tooling Technician/Mold Cleaner

SUMMARY

This position will include injection tool cleaning. Skills include experience with manual grinders and various measurement techniques. Experience in Tool cleaning and assembly are suggested, but attention to detail and a strong desire to learn can replace hands on experience. This is a highly visible and responsible position, which requires a high degree of effective judgment and will report to the Tooling Supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Utilizes knowledge of various measurement and gaging techniques;

Tool cleaning responsibilities;

Cleans, inspects and assembles various injection molding tools.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other work-related duties as assigned, including duties relating to the production process.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work to high tolerance;

Skills with operating manual machines and equipment;

Willingness and ability to work outside the typically scheduled hours which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays;

Effective communication skills, both written and oral;

Demonstrated excellent attendance;

The ability to work with little supervision

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.

Lifting up to 75 pounds.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
