Reporting to the Supervisor - Infrastructure, the Infrastructure Service Crew plays a vital role in supporting and executing various tasks within the infrastructure construction domain. The individual is responsible for contributing to the efficient and safe functioning of infrastructure projects, demonstrating a commitment to operational excellence and adherence to established standards.
Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation
- Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
- Execute diverse tasks related to infrastructure construction, including excavation, material handling, concrete work, and general construction activities.
- Operate construction equipment and tools under supervision, ensuring proper handling and maintenance.
- Undertake road maintenance and water diversion activities across the site, supporting general construction projects.
- Assist in the transportation, placement, and arrangement of materials following project specifications.
- Operate various site services equipment, including backhoes, skid steers, telehandlers, and loaders, water trucks and fuel trucks.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized construction site by disposing of debris, clearing obstacles, and ensuring a hazard-free environment.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure the completion of tasks efficiently and within established timelines.
- Work under supervision to ensure that construction activities meet quality standards and adhere to project specifications.
- Assist in basic maintenance and cleaning of construction equipment and tools, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain open communication with the Site Supervisor and team members, reporting progress and addressing concerns.
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in various tasks and adapting to changing project requirements.
- Previous experience in general labor roles within the infrastructure or construction industry is preferred.
- Basic understanding of construction processes and familiarity with construction equipment.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols diligently.
- Physical fitness and endurance to perform labor-intensive tasks.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various construction tasks.
