OWASA is seeking a proactive and skilled Information Services Technical Specialist to provide essential technical support to users. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and supporting our users with efficient, reliable technology solutions.
- Providing first level support for computers, laptops, printers, security cameras, access control systems, mobile networking equipment, facility cabling, remote site security systems, computer related peripherals, telecommunications equipment, and desktop software.
- Ensuring timely and effective support for all technical issues. Responding to, following up on, and escalating tickets quickly and efficiently as they come into the Help Desk. Maintaining detailed records of reported problems, solutions and user interactions in help desk ticketing software.
- Maintaining inventory by performing physical audits of various assets; recording serial numbers and other information; entering information; moving various technologies; selling old assets; and updating inventory.
- Using various computer management systems. Active Directory, Intune, MS Entra, MECM and others.
- Building, maintaining, deploying and updating computer operating system; building Windows 10/11 and future, deploying and updating software packages for Windows and iOS devices.
- Assisting with all projects including cabling, security systems, access control, conduit, construction, and remodel jobs pertaining to IT department.
- Performing any other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum requirements include an associate’s degree or two years of college coursework in IT related studies with a minimum of two years’ experience in providing IT support to end-users in a Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position is not eligible for remote work.
Ideal candidate is a team player with an excellent work ethic, adaptability, and the desire to work in a collaborative environment. Individual must have strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
- Salary Range: $60,372 - $90,558
