*Typical work week is Mon-Thurs 10 hours per day. Given the emergency repair nature of our business there is at times work that requires weekend and Fridays

Position Description: RAK Industrial Services Inc. is an industry leader in emergency leak repair, composite repair and corrosion control. Family owned and operated for more than 3 decades, RAK continues to solve client’s emergency leak repair problems to reduce downtime and be more efficient. Built on strong core values, we are looking to add great members to the RAK family.

The Senior Leak Repair Technician is responsible for detecting, locating, evaluating, and repairing leaks on site at Industrial facilities (Energy, Steel Making, Utilities, Chemical, Pulp & Paper Automotive, Public Works etc.)

- Assesses leaking components-High pressure/Temperature, acid, water, can consist of valve packing, re-pumps, valve kills, bonnets, flanges, pipe integrity leaks, expansion joint repair, tank leaks.

- Performs leak repair operations that may include any of the following techniques and tasks: Drill and tap · Peen & Injection · Wire and band · Clamp and enclosure installation · Measuring components · Stand-by operations · Inspections of components · Welding

- Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety equipment & methods. Performs appropriate documentation and administrative procedures as required by client representatives and management.

- Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in industrial settings in all weather conditions. Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels, high heat, and wet locations. Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection

- May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.

- Emergency response to client locations for high profile repairs on call 24/7. May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis with in a 7-hr. radius of home branch.

Pay: $27.00 - $51.50 per hour
