POSITION SUMMARY
The Illinois Refining Division is seeking a full-time Industrial Hygienist. Located in Robinson, IL, this position will report to the Safety Manager and be responsible for managing multiple industrial hygiene related programs (e.g. exposure control programs, exposure assessments methods, emergency response, etc.), oversight support of specific operating units, and completion of field industrial hygiene work.
Position will work directly with HES&S peers, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams. This position provides the opportunity to interact with all levels of management and employees in areas of regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene, and Refinery Air Monitoring Team. Estimated travel for the position is up to 10%.
Position is approved for relocation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* Conduct exposure assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, indoor air quality investigations, response to employee concerns, air monitoring during emergency responses, and recommend corrective action to minimize exposure risk to employees and contractors during routine operations, turnarounds, and capital projects.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum (Required) Qualifications* High school diploma or GED required with 5 years of relevant experience -OR-
Preferred Qualifications* Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in industrial hygiene
Skills* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote) is preferred.
