About This Job
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with developmental disabilities, as well as expertise in patient monitoring and dementia care. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients in their homes or healthcare settings.
Duties
•
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
•
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
•
Monitor patient conditions by observing and reporting changes in behavior or health status.
•
Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
•
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
•
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during transitions.
•
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations at all times.
•
Engage clients in social activities and exercises that promote physical and mental well-being.
•
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or those requiring hospice care.
Skills
•
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
•
Strong skills in patient observation and monitoring to ensure client safety.
•
Knowledge of dementia care practices and techniques is highly beneficial.
•
Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary needs while promoting healthy eating habits.
•
Familiarity with home health practices and the ability to work independently in a home setting.
•
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
•
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality at all times.
•
A caring demeanor with patience and empathy towards clients' needs.
