Overview:
The Land I&E Technician is a member of a multidiscipline operations team, reporting to the pipeline foreman. The main purpose of this position is to perform the inspection and maintenance of electrical systems, flow meters, quality control analyzers, pressure sensing devices, and valve actuators on the pipeline system. The Land I&E Technician will work closely with other crafts in the operations organization to ensure safe and reliable operation of the pipeline system. This position will require the ability to work in adverse weather conditions and be subject to after-hours call out.
Responsibilities:
•Ensure that operations under their control or supervision comply with Denbury’s HSE policies and governing agencies.
•Recognize potential hazards to operations and protect both human beings and equipment.
•Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the instrumentation and electrical systems associated with the CO2 pipeline facilities, compressor stations, and pump stations.
•Competent knowledge of various pumps and compressors are driven mainly with electric motors.
•Inspection and maintenance of meters and quality control analyzers as needed.
•Review and analyze problems associated with electrical and instrumentation equipment.
•Perform calibrations on transmitters and pressure/flow controllers.
•Ability to read PIDs and electrical schematics.
•Work in an enterprise asset management system - SAP.
•Maintain historical records for regulatory inspections.
•Perform inspection and testing of pressure safety valves and overpressure protection devices testing per regulatory requirements.
•Complete and maintain Operator Qualification requirements to comply with PHMSA regulations.
•Typical work schedule is 7:00AM – 3:30PM, Monday – Friday.
•The reporting location is in Baker MT. Must be willing to travel to adjacent operational districts for support.
Qualifications:
•A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
•5+ years of experience as a I&E Technician.
•Prior experience with automation and controls.
•Leadership ability in safety, environmental, and regulatory practices.
•Ability to work in outside environment during all seasons and weather conditions. Must be able to navigate rough terrain by walking and lift 50 lbs.
•Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical to demonstrate the ability to meet and perform the essential functions of the job.
