About This Job

Job Objective:

Supports projects, installs and maintains facility instrumentation, to ensure a safe, comfortable, operating environment. Essential Job Responsibilities:* Identifies current and future Instrumentation/Controls requirements by establishing a rapport with management, engineering, production personnel, technicians, and other persons in a position to understand controls requirements.

•

Installs and repairs electrical components as necessary to support ongoing operations and facility upgrades.

•

Ensures production operations by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of controls equipment.

•

Supports product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans, discussing equipment needs and modifications, coordinating activities with other facility crafts.

•

Supports and maintains Electronic, Mechanical and Pneumatic instrumentation of various types and manufacturers.

•

Supports and maintains Facility Automation and SCADA Equipment.

•

Supports operations and work as fill-in operator when necessary.

•

Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.

•

Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.

Other Job Responsibilities:* Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:* Three (3) years minimum experience required in oil and gas plant and field instrumentation and electrical maintenance.

•

Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.

•

Ability to effectively communicate.

•

Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.

•

Ability to accurately solve problems.

•

Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).

•

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and the public.

•

Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities

Education Requirements:* Work requires an educational background normally acquired through a degree in Instrumentation, Process Control, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. High school diploma or GED required.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:* State of Alaska Licensed Electrician
