Position: Hydraulic Technician (Onshore or Offshore opportunities available)
Main Purpose: The Hydraulic Technician will perform hydraulic crane field services and act as the Company Representative for the crane product line.
Inspect, troubleshoot and repair cranes – hydraulic and closed loop experience or electric.
Ability to completely overhaul winches, valves, diesel engines and hydraulic components.
Ability to build and repair hydraulic and electric pipe tension systems, assemble hydraulic and pneumatic valve bodies, and rebuild hydraulic pumps and motors.
General refurbishment/repair of all hydraulic components and complete disassembly/test reports.
Inspection of disassembled components to determine suitability for use in line with manufacturers drawings/tolerances.
Rebuilt and assist in testing of refurbished units as required.
Cleaning and preparation of components prior to rebuild.
Be available and flexible in assisting in other workshop activities as workloads dictate.
Be responsible for the clean and safe area of work and surroundings.
Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements.
Perform all other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Thorough knowledge of API2C, RP2D, and 9A Specifications.
Rebuilding open and closed loop piston pumps, vane and gear pumps.
Team skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience with hydraulic components, including cylinders, pumps, motors, and gearbox repairs.
