Zero Waste Recycling LLC is currently hiring a Hybrid Class-A CDL operator for the Environmental Team. Prerequisites for this role are a Class-A CDL with a Tanker and HAZ endorsement. Hybrid drivers run a combination of local and out-of-town routes. This hybrid role includes routine assignments that require layovers out-of-town. Personal hotel accommodations and per-diems are provided by the company for all out-of-town work. This position will focus on operating vacuum equipment such as Vac Trucks, Air Movers, and Vacuum Tankers. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that requires manual dexterity and the ability to work both independently and alongside our field services team and an active participant on the job site. This position is very active/physical and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The primary responsibility for this role is to service a client base of large industrial manufacturers to remove and transport their liquid and semi-liquid manufacturing wastes and byproducts while assisting the field services team with their daily duties.
Candidates that excel in this position are those that demonstrate great communication skills, route planning, problem solving skills and work well with others. This position requires frequent interaction with our customers, our field services crew and our internal operations personnel. Additionally, we are seeking candidates that have an interest in cross-training to learn multiple pieces of equipment including; dry vans, flatbed, walking floor, end dump and roll-off trucks and trailers.
When out-of-town work is not scheduled, we run as a local fleet and the hybrid driver will assume local routes until the next layover job is scheduled. The typical hourly workload for drivers falls between 45-60 hours per week and may include weekend work on either Saturdays or Sundays based on our clients needs.
-Ability to frequently lift, push and pull weights up to 50lbs.

-Ability to stand for extended periods of time
-Ability to safely maneuver on-to and off-of various truck and trailer types (van trailer, flatbed, walking floor, tanker trailers, vacuum trucks, etc.)
-Physical dexterity to grasp, tighten and loosen various handles, hoses, valves, chains, straps etc.
-Ability to learn and operate daily electronic GPS and DVIR software through smartphone or tablet.
-Ability to read and understand both written and verbal communication and write and record accurate notes, weights, volumes, mileage, times, quantity, and container types on dispatches, BOL’s and manifests.
-Previous experience within the waste or recycling industries.
-Previous experience operating any vacuum or hydraulic equipment, attachments, or machinery.
-Previous experience setting up hoses and hoses and valves.
-Experience in a customer facing role or team-oriented work environment.
-Adaptability and comfort working within a continually evolving environment.
Truck drivers will be paid based on an hourly rate and compensated only at that rate no matter the number of hours worked in a week.
