HVAC Technician

Closes: May 18, 2025 Salary: $41.30 to $55.59 per hour, 6-Step Progression; Bargaining Unit

Job Description

Operates and maintains the HVAC plant and related controls throughout the Spokane Central Operating Facilities. Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment at branch office and service center facilities. Provides a wide variety of miscellaneous equipment operation and maintenance tasks within Company buildings. This position is the highest of a multi-step progression from HVAC Technician I to HVAC Technician.

Requirements

3-5 years experience with building systems including refrigeration, principals of HVAC, heat pumps/chillers, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic and carpentry skills. Two year degree in HVAC operation and maintenance or the equivalent in factory training or work experience. Must possess a valid driver’s license, a heating mechanic’s license, and a current fireman’s license or the equivalent to operate small steam boilers. Certification for the handling of refrigerants and maintenance worker training for asbestos awareness. Personal computer skills. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. May be required to take advanced factory training for HVAC systems and building management systems.
